Let’s meet our board member, Gina Sterling.
Q: How did you first become involved with FOK and why do you continue to be involved?
A: Being in the school district, I saw the need for an organization like this firsthand. I began organizing a business plan and talking with others on how something like this can be created. That is when I discovered that FOK was already serving Champaign-Urbana, so I knew I needed to be part of it. I continue to serve on the Board because I see the difference FOK is making.
Q: What do you do outside of Feeding Our Kids?
A: I am a Realtor with Keller Williams and a Volunteer Coordinator at Jefferson Middle School in Champaign.
Q: Tell us something unique about yourself (hobbies, fun facts, talents, etc.)
A: I love to bake. My daughter is at the age where she wants to help all the time too, so we have a great time baking together. My husband doesn’t really enjoy sweets, so my daughter and I always end up being the only ones who eat what we bake!
