Unit 4 is offering free meals to children and teens 18 and younger this summer through the Summer Meal Program. The meals will be offered from June through July at various Unit 4 locations. Lunch will be served. See the link at the bottom of the page for a comprehensive list of locations.

USD 116 is offering free meals to children and teens 18 and younger this summer through the Summer Meal Program. The meals will be offered from June through the middle of July at various USD 116 locations, no registration needed. Breakfast and lunch will be served; please check the schedule on its website as times and dates vary. All children meeting the age requirement will be provided with food regardless of summer school enrollment or home of record. Individuals 18 or older with a state-defined mental or physical disability will also be provided with free meals.

The Champaign Urbana Public Health District is offering meals between May 29 and August 10. The meals will be provided at 201 W. Kenyon Road in Champaign. Breakfast will be served from 9:00-10:30 a.m., and lunch will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. To obtain further information, call (217) 531-4300.

Starting on June 5, free lunches will be provided to all children in Mahomet from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., Monday through Friday. The meal is available for pickup at the office of Candlewood Estates, located on 808 N. Prairieview Road. For any further questions, contact the office at Candlewood Estates at (217) 586-4937.

Meals will be available at J.W. Eater Junior High, Northview Elementary School, and Broadmeadow Elementary School. In the past, the meals have only been available for summer school students. Additionally, the Village of Rantoul Youth Center has offered a meal program in recent years.
